JPEG compression is lossy, and tiny targets demand visible tradeoffs — we say so on every page rather than promising “no quality loss.” Target sizes are treated as maximums, results are shown side-by-side before you download, and if a limit can’t be reached cleanly the tool tells you instead of silently ruining the photo.
