compressjpeg.in is a free, in-browser JPEG compression tool. There are no accounts, no uploads, and no fees. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind — it may change, break, or disappear, and continued use means you accept that.
Everything runs on your device: we cannot see, store, recover, or delete your images. That also means we can’t restore a file you lost — keep your originals. Your compressed downloads carry no watermark and no claim from us; what you make is yours.
Only compress images you own or are allowed to modify. Don’t use the tool for unlawful content, and don’t use it to infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy, or other rights. What you upload — which is to say, what stays on your own device — is your responsibility.
Target sizes are goals, not guarantees: results typically land at or under your limit, usually within a few percent. JPEG compression is lossy by nature, so always check the preview and re-check file sizes before a form deadline or print job.
Don’t abuse the service: no attempting to disrupt it, scrape it aggressively, misrepresent it as your own product, or imply endorsement by or affiliation with us, any exam board, government body, or institution.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool — including lost files, missed deadlines, or rejected uploads. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using it.
